Craig Elliott is backing his trio of Boston United loan signings to add the excitement factor that he has been craving, report Lincolnshire Live.

The United supremo recruited Grimsby Town youngsters Max Wright (20) and Ahkeem Rose (19) on loan ahead of Saturday’s trip to Stockport County, with Blackpool’s former Alvechurch winger Yusifu Ceesay (23) following suit at the end of the week.

All three featured at Edgeley Park, with Rose scoring United’s opening goal in their 2-0 success which was secured by Nathan Arnold’s second half clincher.

“They are direct, they are hungry and they want to do well,” said Elliott. “They have got pace and young kids like that can go out and play with freedom.

“That’s what we have been lacking but I saw it after only five minutes in training. You could see the freshness they brought but there has not been too much else wrong with the team.

“I tried to bring Yusifu in during the summer, but I knew he was at Blackpool. He’s another raw and up-and-coming player who should cause problems for defences.”
