Enfield Town have taken Wealdstone forward Elliot Benyon on a month’s loan.

The 30-year-old began his career at Bristol City and enjoyed spells with Torquay United, Swindon Town, Southend United and Wycombe Wanderers.

To date, Benyon has made over 350 career appearances and netted over 100 goals.

Manager Andy Leese said “we are pleased to get Elliot on board for a month. The chance arose to bring him in and we felt his quality was something we needed to liven things up in the last third of the pitch. He is a proven goalscorer at higher levels, his work ethic is fantastic and I am sure he will give us all a lift after a disappointing few games.

“My thanks to Bobby Wilkinson at Wealdstone for getting it done. It’s a deal that should help both parties. Please welcome Elliot to the club if you see him tomorrow.”
