Paul Fairclough has named a whole host of new faces in the England C squad that will face the Panjab FA in a historical friendly on Sunday 28th May.
Of the players named in the squad, only Gateshead keeper James Montgomery has been part of the England ‘C’ setup.
Blyth Spartans striker Dan Maguire has been rewarded for his fine form this season. He scored over thirty goals and helped lead the Croft Park club to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League title.
Boreham Wood’s much-admired forward Morgan Ferrier is in the squad, as is Chester’s in-form striker James Alabi.
Gateshead’s Gus Mafuta joins team mate James Montgomery in the squad as Fairclough looks at different options he has to use ahead of the International Challenge Trophy Final against Slovakia.
That fixture will now take place next season, with Slovakia currently preparing to take part in the Under-21 European Championships this summer.
The game against the Panjab FA was originially scheduled to take place at Kidderminster Harriers, but has now been rearranged to be played at Solihull Moors.
The squad in full is:
