Matt Doughty has further re-inforced his Altrincham squad by signing winger Micah Evans from league rivals Worcester City.
The 23-year old six-footer from Manchester completed his move to The J.Davidson Stadium in time for today`s league encounter at Darlington and would have featured in Doughty’s squad, had the game not fallen victim of an early morning pitch inspection.
A winger with an eye for goal, Evans was involved in Worcester’s 3-0 win over Alty at Bromsgrove at the end of October, going on as a second half substitute.
After working his way through the youth ranks at his first club Blackburn Rovers, Evans made his first senior appearance in a pre-season game against Accrington Stanley, in July, 2011, and made such an impression on John Coleman that the Stanley boss signed him on loan three months later.
He responded with a goal just 5 minutes into his debut against Bristol Rovers and scored again soon after, in a 4-0 win over Macclesfield.
Spells with Burnley, Southport and Stockport County followed.
