Former Barrow AFC manager Micky Moore has turned down a quick return to football.

Moore – sacked by the Bluebirds in October after just two months in charge – rejected the chance to take charge at Southern Premier League side Redditch United. Moore, who is technically on gardening from Barrow, with his contract as manager having been set to last until the end of the 2019/20 season, said he is is waiting for ‘the right project’ for his next move in the game.

That was not a return to his former club, who instead hired Tim Harris as their new manager to replace the sacked Darren Byfield.
