Enfield Borough have brought former Premier League defender Michael Duberry on board as a club ambassador.
The Spartan South Midlands Football League Division One side say the ex-Chelsea and Leeds United player will be working to develop the club’s youth players.
The 45-year-old, an Enfield native, told the Enfield Independent:
“I’m pleased to come on board with Enfield Borough FC to help develop the youth section and mentor young players.
“As a local lad, I want to give something back. I believe in the club’s ethos and values for young people, not just young footballers.”
A former England Under-21 international, Duberry’s career also included time with Stoke City and Reading amongst others.
