Callum Ball is raring to make first impressions count as he looks to make a name for himself at Nuneaton this season.
Ball, a summer signing by Tommy Wright, has missed the majority of the season so far due to an ongoing ankle injury.
But, in new boss Dino Maamria’s first game in charge last weekend, Ball was back in action, coming on as a second half substitute to net a late consolation for the Boro.
For the former Derby County man it is hopefully the first of many.
He said: “It has been so frustrating for me, sitting there in the stands due to my ankle. I have wanted to get out there and play a part, but I have not been able to.
“It is nice to be back now, though, especially as I have come back and got myself a goal.
“It was my first one for the club in the league, which is always nice, and it is time to build on that.”
