Midfielder Drissa Traore has confirmed that he is joining Tranmere Rovers.

The Ivorian-born player came to England in 2014 with Notts County, having spells with Swindon Town and most recently, Forest Green Rovers, where he helped the club win the Vanarama National League play-offs last year. That 3-1 play-off final win came against his new employers, and having left Forest Green earlier this week by mutual consent, the 25-year-old had this to say on his Twitter account:

“First of all a massive thanks to @FGRFC_Official and the fans I had a great season and beautiful finish with the promotion at wembley last season and all the best to the team. Now I’ve joined @TranmereRovers I can’t wait to star (sic) this new challenge “
