Ebbsfleet United and Cody McDonald have parted ways following the cancellation of the striker’s contract by mutual consent.

The 33-year-old was Garry Hill’s first signing as manager in November 2018, and he went on to feature 14 times for the Fleet up to last February, scoring three goals.

A serious injury sustained in a home game versus Hartlepool United 11 months ago, which turned out to be cruciate knee ligament, sidelined the former Gillingham man. Although he has trained hard to be back fit for the Fleet this season, he hasn’t managed to pull on the red shirt in 2019/20.
