Gosport Borough’s former manager Mick Marsh has become the vice-chairman of the club.
Marsh has been a massive figure within the club – having started the process of recovery at Gosport Borough in the late-90s when he took charge of a first team struggling in the Wessex League.
“I joined Gosport Borough in 1992 as the manager of the reserve team and then moved to the Royal Navy, Follands and Selsey as the first team manager,” said Marsh.
“I then came back to Gosport Borough as manager in the late 90s for six or seven years and before I moved to Spain and handed the role over to Alex Pike.
“In my reign, we achieved a quarter final in the FA Vase in 2004 but never quite managed to win the Wessex League championship.”
