Eastleigh have secured the services of 27-year-old midfielder Oscar Gobern.
Gobern started his professional career at Southampton, helping them secure promotion to the Championship. He has also played for Huddersfield Town and Yeovil Town, amongst others.
First-team manager Andy Hessenthaler said: “I am absolutely thrilled to get this over the line. He has a decent pedigree and played at a good level. He is young and hungry and will be a big addition to the playing squad.”
“I would also like to thank the club in their efforts to get the deal completed. I know there has been a lot of hard work gone on behind the scenes and I can’t thank them enough.”
Gobern commented: “After speaking to the Gaffer and Strevs (Ben Strevens) it was clear what their intentions are and it was a no brainer for me to come down. The potential this club has is tremendous and I want to be a part of it.”
Gobern has put pen to paper on a one year deal and will link up with the squad when they return later in the month.
