Gosport Borough have enlisted the help of Rowan Vine in their bid to escape relegation from the Southern League premier division.
The 35-year-old former Luton Town, QPR and Portsmouth striker is expected to go straight into the squad for Tuesday night’s visit of leaders Hereford to Privett Park. Vine begins a second spell at Borough after making seven appearances in 2015.
Assistant manager Louis Bell believes the arrival of the experienced forward will help some of the younger players in the squad.
“Rowan will give us another experienced option up front,” he said. “I know him from his time at Portsmouth and he is a good lad to have around.
“His presence will hopefully help pick up the morale of some of the youngsters. It isn’t easy for them because they keep losing games.”
