Grant Holt again led the line for Wroxham as they got back to winning ways in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division with a 2-0 victory at Great Yarmouth Town, report the Eastern Daily Press.
The 37-year-old Norwich City legend, who made a scoring debut for the Yachtsmen in Saturday’s Norfolk Senior Cup win over Fakenham, didn’t get a goal this time around but still helped his new team to a welcome victory after consecutive league defeats.
The game was settled by a goal in either half from Sonny Carey, with Wroxham moving up to fifth in the table as a result and the Bloaters staying rooted to the bottom after their eighth defeat in 10 games.
