Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signing of striker Darius Osei.

Osei joins the club having left National League side Maidstone United in 2018.

The 23-year-old will be a familiar name to many at Bower Fold, with Osei also featuring for the club for two seasons between 2014 and 2016.

He made the step up from Celtic’s reserve side for his first-team debut back in December 2014 as Celtic lost 3-0 against AFC Fylde in the National League North.

In total, he made 21 appearances for Celtic, scoring eight goals, including four against Abbey Hey in the Manchester Cup.

He showed a lot of promise and was snapped up by Oldham Athletic in the summer of 2016, making 27 apps for The Latics.

He then joined Maidstone United in January 2018, playing nine times that season.
