Former Hartlepool United chief executive Russ Green is set to appeal his one-year ban from all football-related activites.
Green, now at League One side Rochdale, was slapped with a one-year ban after the Football Association found him to be in breach of their regulations on working with intermediaries. Along with Green, two football agents were also handed bans from football and football-related activities while Hartlepool United were hit with a £25,000 fine.
The charges related to the deals that saw Padraig Amond, Nicky Deverdics and Lewis Alessandra move to Victoria Park. Despite admitting the charges levied against him, Green is now appealing the decision to ban him from football until the end of June 2019.
And he continues to hold the support of his current employers – although the Spotland side did confirm that a consultant chief executive is in place should they be required.
