Worcester City have announced that former Port Vale and Colchester United forward Ashley Vincent will become assistant manager to John Snape.
The 32-year-old, who enjoyed several seasons playing in League One, turned out for City in the National League North in 2015/16. Once a Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster, Vincent made his name at Cheltenham Town and later hit a flurry of goals for Port Vale early on in their 2012/13 season in League Two.
Despite that, Vincent only played two more seasons in the EFL, first for his old club Cheltenham and then for Shrewsbury Town. On his new role, he told Worcester City’s website:
“I’m delighted to be coming back to assist John at undoubtedly the biggest club at this level.”
