Ascot United have announced that former Premier League goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown is their new first-team goalkeeping coach.

The 37-year-old played in the top flight for Portsmouth before spells with Leeds United, Crawley and Oxford United.

The ex-Reading stopper will now work with Hellenic Premier Division club Ascot United’s first team and youth team goalkeepers.

Ashdown spent several seasons at Portsmouth, featuring in the Premier League in four of them, as well as representing Pompey in the final season (2008/09) of the UEFA Cup before it became the Europa League.
