Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley, who left their roles as Salford City joint-managers this week, would be interested in speaking to Chesterfield.
According to the Sheffield Star, the vacancy at the Spireites, recently relegated into the Vanarama National League, would certainly be of interest to the former Ramsbottom United duo:
“We’ve been led to believe we’re in the running for, in terms of the betting, but we’ve not had any contact from anyone at the club,” Johnson said. “There’s been no contact either way.
“That’s not to say we wouldn’t be interested, we’d definitely be interested in having a chat. It’s a massive football club, in the league that ultimately we want to be managing in.”
