Ossett United have appointed Mark Smith as first-team coach.
The former Sheffield Wednesday defender has had caretaker stints in charge at Wednesday, Notts County and Chesterfield in his coaching career.
Smith was one of the scorers in Wednesday’s legendary 4-0 ‘Boxing Day Massacre’ win over Sheffield United in 1979.
He does, though, now work for Steel City rivals United as loans manager.
