Dorchester Town have announced the signing of experienced New Zealand international frontman Rory Fallon.
Now 35, the former Barnsley youngster has enjoyed notable spells with Swindon Town, Swansea City and Plymouth Argyle, as well as representing a number of other clubs in England and Scotland.
At his country’s second World Cup back in 2010, he started all three of the Kiwis’ group matches, as they drew with Italy, Slovakia and Paraguay before exiting unbeaten. It had been Fallon’s goal in the play-off with Bahrain that had sealed qualification for their first finals since 1982.
A former Ipswich Town, Aberdeen and Scunthorpe United player, Fallon has recently been player-assistant manager at the Vanarama National League South’s Truro City, before he left to join Torquay United.
