Maidenhead United have completed the signing of 22-year-old left-sided defender Freddie Grant, who was most recently with Wealdstone.
Grant joined the Stones only last summer from National League South rivals Oxford City, having began his career with Oxford United. He spent time out on loan at Margate and Farnborough before joining the Hoops in 2016, where he made over 80 league starts and was part of their giant-killing FA Cup team in 2017/18 which won at Colchester and ran Notts County close.
Chief Scout Lee Devonshire told the club’s website: “Freddie is someone who has plenty of experience for one so young. He has been in the Conference South for a few years now at the likes of Oxford City, Farnborough and more recently Wealdstone.
“A left-back with good energy, a competitive side and he chips in with the odd goal so he will be a player that will be a valuable asset to us moving forward.”
