Former Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson took charge at managerless Buxton for the weekend’s game with Mickleover Sports.

The 59-year-old, who managed three seasons in the Premier League, was last in charge at a club in 2017, with Chesterfield in League One.

Buxton are without a manager following Paul Phillips’ recent departure. Former Northern Ireland midfielder Wilson’s presence did not ultimately instigate a change in fortune for the struggling Bucks, as Mickleover ran out 1-0 winners.
