Following Sutton Coldfield Town’s defeat against Rushall Olympic, boss Richard Sneekes and assistant Steve Hinks have been relieved of first-team duties with the club.

Appointed in November 2016, the former Ajax youngster who had notable spells with Bolton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion during his days as a midfielder leaves Sutton Coldfield at the bottom of the Evo-Stik Premier.

A statement on the club website had this to say:

‘The board of directors and all at the club wish to express their thanks for the efforts made in maintaining the club’s position at step 3 last season and for all the hard work that has gone into this season but with recent results leaving the club rooted to the bottom of the table, it was decided that with a third of the season remaining, change was necessary to try and avoid relegation by the end of the season.’
