Yeovil Town assistant manager Terry Skiverton will be in charge of the team for tonight’s game with Maidenhead United.
Manager Darren Sarll will be absent due to a positive COVID-19 test within his household.
The Glovers boss had tested positive himself recently, with club personnel subsequently entering self-isolation.
He told BBC Somerset: “I won’t be at the game, my wife has unfortunately picked it up as well. I’ve got a duty to my kids to look after them whilst she’s recovering.”
It means a more than familiar face leading proceedings tonight, as Skiverton, who is synonymous with the club after time as both player and manager, steps into the breach.
“I’ll still be watching and connected to Terry in the dugout over the phone, so hopefully I’ll be able to have some sort of impact,” Sarll added. “They’re all more than capable of getting through a game without me there.”
“Terry has over 150 games as manager in League One so I’m sure he can do a National League game on his own without me bombarding his eardrums too often.”
