The FA have turned down an appeal from the Ebac Northern League regarding their proposal for the creation of a new division at Step 4.

Last month it was announced that the Leagues’ Committee had opted to turn down the Ebac Northern League’s proposal for a new regional Step 4 league, which was subsequently appealed against. The application had been to adjust the division’s position in the national league system, with a new Step 4 league covering the region and falling under the control of the Northern League.

The league was intended to sit alongside divisions such as the Evo-Stik North and South, with one of its functions to help facilitate an ascent into the third tier of non-league for Northern League clubs. The Northern League say that the management committee will discuss the decision next week.
