Former Swansea City player Steve Jones is expected to be amongst Fairford Town’s past player attending the “Former Players’ Day” fixture on Saturday, a part of the club’s 125th anniversary celebrations.

Jones played for in the Hellenic League for Fairford Town before joining Forest Green Rovers. He then joined Cheltenham Town before moving to Swansea City, playing nearly 150 games for the club between 1995-2001. He is amongst a number of former players who have been in touch with some travelling up from Cornwall to attend.

The clubhouse will be open from 12pm, with former players, managers, coaches and supporters young and old encouraged to attend. The league fixture against Shrivenham kicks off at 3pm and there will be evening entertainment in the clubhouse from Swindon five-piece band ‘Good Times’, as well as a display of club memorabilia.

Entry is FREE for all former players/managers with regular prices in operation elsewhere at just £5 Adult, U16s FREE and Concessions £2.
