Farnborough have completed the signing of striker Connor Calcutt on a one year contract.
Connor, who has previously played for Stevenage and Wealdstone has been signed as a free agent having left Barton Rovers where he scored 30 League goals last season.
First Team Manager, Spencer Day stated: “I am delighted to secure the signature of my first choice target for the summer to strengthen the squad as we look for another promotion. We beat off a lot of quality clubs that sought Connor’s services which is not surprising as he’s had a fantastic season and still has huge development potential.
“For a young man he’s already got great experience in both the Football League and the Conference South and I was incredibly impressed with him when I sat down to discuss the move and am delighted that he chose Boro. Alongside our other strikers we now have a massive goal threat as we move towards another exciting season.”
“I sadly have to announce the departure of Dennis Oli who has signed for Thurrock. Dennis has been offered a fantastic deal closer to home and I would just like to say that he was an absolute pleasure to have at Boro. Both on and off the pitch he has truly been one of the nicest and most professional players I have managed in 17 years and on behalf of everyone here we wish him and his family every success in the future and he will always be welcome back at Cherrywood Road.
“As much as this is sad news having secured my number one target to replace Dennis, I know everyone will be delighted with the exciting season ahead. We continue to work to secure most of last seasons squad many of which have already committed and will give another update shortly.”
