FC Halifax Town have confirmed they will be going full-time next season.

The Shaymen will be increasing their playing budget for the 2018-19 campaign to “support a full-time training model”. The announcement coincides with their season ticket offer, which is £340 for adults, £99 for 12-17-year-old’s, while season tickets for children under 12 are free.

The cost per game with an season ticket is £14.80, an increase from the £10.83 figure from last season. Matchday tickets for adults will cost £20, £17 for concessions, £5 for under 12’s and £3 for under 7’s.

The club say these prices “reflect but certainly do not cover increases in our new season operating costs and are comparable with other similar sized National League clubs/stadiums”. The club has defended the increase in the cost of a season ticket, which cost £249 in 2017-18 and £199 in 2016-17, by saying it “reflects the decision to go full-time, trying to provide a workable playing budget and on-going increases in our operating costs” and that “all the funds raised go to the development of the first team playing squad budget”.
