In order to generate additional playing budget, FC United manager Neil Reynolds has made the extremely difficult decision in asking Jamie Milligan, FC United’s Assistant Manager, to leave the club.

Reynolds explained: “I spoke to Jamie at length and he fully understands the reasons. The saving we make from Jamie’s departure will go towards the playing budget, as I look to strengthen the squad for the last 17 matches of the season.

“I want the thank Jamie for all his efforts whilst at the club. He will be a big loss on the coaching side and assisting me. For the interim period I will not be having an assistant manager but will continue to rely on the support of my backroom staff.”

Milligan, who is a UEFA A qualified coach and runs his own academy, joined FC United in October alongside manager Reynolds. As well as being assistant manager, Milligan also made three appearances for the first team.
