Stockport County have agreed a deal for attacking midfielder Alex Curran to join FC United on a one-month loan.

Manager Jim Gannon said: “After signing Joe Piggott and Joe Leesley, Alex’s opportunities could be limited over the coming weeks, so we’ve moved quickly to get him some game time.

“Alex has made the step up to the National League with us, he’s made his first-team debut and he’s now starting to show the benefits from training with us three times a week, as well as the additional strength and conditioning work, but he needs to be playing games to enhance his development further.

“FC United are enjoying a good run at the moment so it’s a perfect fit for him to go and play some really competitive football and we can properly assess him when he returns to Edgeley Park in the near future.”

Curran will be available for FC United’s trip to Stafford Rangers but will not be eligible to play for them in the FA Cup.
