The turmoil at Gateshead has continued, with the expected departures of manager Ben Clark and press officer Dominic Scurr.

The club last Friday confirmed the addition of Nigel Harrop and Trevor Clark to the board of directors, with the official line that the club would remain up for sale. Last weekend, general manager Alisha Henry was sacked by owner/chairman Dr Ranjan Varghese by text, with assistant manager Ian Watson, popular player/kit manager JJ O’Donnell and club therapist Annie Davis following.

With manager and club stalwart Clark leaving, along with another integral part of the club in Scurr, full-back Scott Barrow is the only one left, though his contract will expire in the next few weeks.
