Macclesfield Town have announced that David Fitzpatrick has become the latest player to sign a new deal with the club.
The Silkmen left-back was virtually an ever-present in John Askey’s side after joining Macclesfield in September of last year.
Fitzpatrick joined Macc after a spell with Southport and has had previous spells with Stockport County, Northwich Victoria and New Mills AFC.
His impressive displays for Southport earned him a call-up to the England C squad.
That sort of form continued for Macclesfield and the 26-year-old made thirty-seven league appearances for Askey’s side last term.
The defender will now look to continue his impressive displays next term after signing a new deal with the Club.
He follows, Danny Rowe, Paul Lewis, George Pilkington, Chris Holroyd and Ritchie Branagan in agreeing new deals with the Moss Rose, while John McCombe, Jack Sampson and Chris Sutherland have also seen their contracts extended for the 2016/17 season.
