Kick It Out will partner with Non League Day for the sixth consecutive year on Saturday 7 October, with five teams dedicating fixtures to football’s equality and inclusion organisation.
Altrincham, Metropolitan Police, PFC Victoria London, Slimbridge, and Solihull Moors have all selected their home fixtures on Non League Day to the recognise the work of the organisation and the Fans For Diversity campaign, which is run in partnership by Kick It Out and the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF).
At Metropolitan Police, before their dedicated league fixture against Folkestone Invicta, the club are set to host an exhibition match between a Non-League XI, made up of ex-players and supporters, against a Chelsea Fan XI, made up of fans from We Are The Shed, a Chelsea supporters group.
In addition to bringing together supporters from non-league and the Premier League, Metropolitan Police will be focusing its efforts on engaging with local young people.
The club will be running a number of youth team fixtures before the 3pm kick-off, as well as encouraging its young players to attend the first-team fixture, whilst the Metropolitan Police Under-11s have been given the opportunity to be mascots on the day.
