Ebbsfleet United marked their return to the Vanarama National League North with a 2-2 draw against Guiseley.

Two Darren McQueen efforts helped the Fleet to a point away at the Yorkshire sides, while they also kept their unbeaten run going that remains in 2017.

McMahon said their performance saw them do a number of things right and could use them going forward.

“I thought we created a number of chances and we know that there are plenty of positives, we played really well and dominated some of the match as well.”

He added: “There was a lot of build up to this during pre-season and now we have to look at Tuesday night, that is where are focus is now.”

“I thought when we went 2-1 up that we would be able to hold onto it, but then we showed a good attitude getting back from 1-0 down.”

They next face Maidstone United on Tuesday in their first game of the campaign at Stonebridge Road, something that McMahon knows will mean a lot to all.

“We are really looking forward to it a home game for us in a local derby, it is something that will mean a lot to our fans, the players and all the staff as well.”

He continued: “I’ve had a great two seasons here and now I can’t wait to be going into these games against so many good sides.”
