Experienced striker Chris Flood has become Alex Pike’s first summer signing for Vanarama National League South club Gosport Borough as the manager looks towards the 2016/17 season.
Pike announced the arrival of the proven striker from former league rivals Basingstoke Town.
Flood has previously played for Queens Park Rangers, Eastleigh, Dorchester Town, Crawley Town and Salisbury City was regularly scoring for the Dragons last season, despite their relegation.
Pike was enthusiastic about the arrival of the 26-year-old: “He’s a proven goalscorer and has won several `golden boots`,” he said.
“He’s consistently played at a high level and although he has a relegation with Basingstoke on his CV, he will be an excellent replacement for Justin Bennett”.
