Paul Morgan has decided to stay on as Folkestone Invicta chairman after receiving the backing of supporters this week, Kent Online report.

Having announced he was considering walking away from the club because of negativity towards board members, Morgan met fans at a meeting on Monday night.

“It was a very good meeting and I’m sticking around,” he said.

“The support I’ve got from the fans has been fantastic and I can’t thank them enough.

“They’re a great bunch of fans, which I’ve said from day one.

“Some of the negativity going around was more personal abuse against two of the directors, Neil Cugley and Jim Pellatt, which I couldn’t take any more.”
