Oliver Ford has committed his long term future to Hyde United for the 2017-2018 campaign.

Ford commented “I was really happy to be offered the chance to sign for next season by Darren. I have loved the opportunity this year since making my debut in the cup against Chester, and I know I will continue to learn and improve working with great coaches and players.”

Manager Darren Kelly and assistant David McGurk (TY) confirmed “Oli has been great since coming into the first team back in January. He has spent 18 months learning the game in the North West Counties with Abbey Hey which has really helped him. He is a character around the dressing room, and has pace, aggression and quality on the field. He is full time training which gives him an edge and I expect him to push on in the coming year, looking to make a place in the starting eleven his.”

CEO Mark Worthington said “Oli is another Academy player who has been with us since he was 14 years old, and I am really pleased for him being retained for 2017-2018. He has worked extremely hard to carve a career out in football, and I know he will grab hold of this opportunity and make a success of things.”
