Havant and Waterlooville have secured the services of young midfielder Jordan Simpson on a month’s loan from Forest Green Rovers.

19-year-old Simpson signed his professional contract with the Rovers in 2017 after spending the entirety of his youth career at Swindon Town. After signing for the Rovers he was sent out on loan to National League South side Hungerford Town to gain minutes in the men’s game.

Simpson then made his full debut for Forest Green last season, playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 League 2 defeat to Luton Town as well as claiming the man of the match award.

Following injuries that have been sustained to the Hawks squad over recent matches, including the double injuries sustained by Wes Fogden and Brian Stock in Wednesday night’s 2-1 victory over Aldershot Town, Simpson’s signing will help Hawks boss Lee Bradbury bolster his midfield options with Saturday’s clash with Harrogate Town in mind.
