Kingsley James says that the fact that the Macclesfield Town have “grinded out results” in part of the reason why they have started 2017 in fine form.

Macc have just lost one game in all competitions in 2017 ahead of tonight’s crucial game against Barrow.

A win for John Askey’s men would mean that Macc are three points off the play-offs with a game in hand.

Speaking to ahead of tonight’s game, James said: “In all honesty I think we have been in really good form all season, even the games that we have lost that have been really tight.

“We’ve played well but, we haven’t been able to grind out results. I think recently we’ve been more resilient and grinded out those results, apart from Guiseley.”

The 24-year-old is well aware of the importance of tonight’s game at the Moss Rose and the fact that a win would push the team right up the table.

James admits that it doesn’t matter how Macc get a win as long as they get all three points.

He added: ”One win can springboard us right up into the play-off area and that’s what we need to do with a massive game tonight.

“We need to concentrate on today’s game and get three points – it doesn’t matter how we do it we just have to find a way to win and keep us in that run in for the play-offs.”
