Nuneaton Borough have brought in former Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne.

The 31-year-old, who has had spells with the likes of Hibernian and Blackpool, left Walsall at the end of last season.

Boro’ boss Jimmy Ginnelly told the club’s website: “I’d like to thank a good mate of mine in football (former Aston Villa forward) Stefan Moore for pointing Ozzy in my direction here at the Boro. He’s a very fit lad and I’m delighted he’s picked us to come and enjoy his football.

“He told me all he wants to do is enjoy his football and I convinced him that here at Nuneaton we will put a smile on his face, and hopefully he’ll be putting a bigger smile on Boro fans’ faces. When players of this calibre are available you have to move quickly.”
