Vanarama National League side Eastleigh have confirmed the signing of exciting young prospect, Mikael Mandron.
The 21-year-old, 6ft 3 inch striker joins the Spitfires on a 2-year deal after his release from Premier League side Sunderland.
Mandron, born in France, joined Sunderland in 2011 as a 16-year-old. He was an ever present for the U21 set up and after impressing, went on to make three appearances for the first team.
His Premier League debut came in the Black Cats’ 6-1 defeat at Aston Villa, when he came on as a late subsititute for Danny Graham.
Last season Mandron spent a month on loan with SkyBet League Two side Hartlepool United and scored the second goal in Pools’ 2-0 FA Cup Second Round replay win over Salford City at Victoria Park
He has also spent loan spells with Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town.
