Former Chorley manager Matt Jansen has joined Stockport County’s newly-announced scouting team.

The former Blackburn Rovers and Crystal Palace star is joined by Chorley’s former player and assistant manager Jonathan Smith, and Kevin Braybrook.

Braybrook has had scouting and coaching roles at Southampton, QPR, Wolves and Burnley during his career.

County’s director of football Simon Wilson told the club’s website: “As everyone knows, players are our biggest cost base, and having the right playing talent in the building is arguably the biggest ingredient of success.”
