Hemel Hempstead Town have announced that former club captain and fans` favourite Jordan Parkes has re-joined the club from rivals Ebbsfleet United.
Parkes joined Ebbsfleet at the beginning of last season having spent three years at Vauxhall Road, captaining the side to the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division title and to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.
The Conference (National League) South player of the year for 2014/15 and a set-piece specialist, Fleet paid Hemel an undisclosed fee for Parkes after he scored 31 goals from midfield for the Tudors.
He began his playing career at Watford, making his League debut in 2008, while also earning international honours with England under-18s, under-19s and under-20s.
He played for Brentford, Farnborough and Barnet on loan, joining the latter on a permanent basis in 2010, operating mainly in the full-back position.
After fifty-one appearances for the Bees, he was briefly at Chelmsford City before signing for his home-town club Hemel Hempstead in 2012.
In three seasons with the Tudors, Parkes helped the club to promotion from the Southern League and scooped all three player-of-the-year awards for 2014/15.
He got off to a sensational start for the Fleet, scoring 8 goals in his first ten games, but made only appearance this season to date.
