Barrow AFC have strengthened their attacking options with the acquisition of former Leicester City and current St Kitts & Nevis striker Harry Panayiotou.
The 21-year old has chosen Paul Cox’s outfit, despite offers from a Bundesliga outfit and EFL Championship and League One clubs and agreed a two-year deal with the Bluebirds.
Born in Leicester to a Kittian mother and greek father, Panayiotou spent the last four seasons with the Foxes before his release in the summer.
He has had loan spells with Port Vale and Raith Rovers.
Barrow boss Cox tried unsuccessfully to sign Panayiotou when in charge at Mansfield and has been tracking his progress for some time.
He describes his new signing as an excellent one for the football club.
Meanwhile paperwork is in progress to extend Ryan Yates loan from Nottingham Forest which expires at midnight on Saturday.
