Midfielder Aman Verma has joined Tamworth and will help to fill the gap created by the departures of both Paul Green and Joe Clarke and the return of Ben Fox to his parent club Burton Albion.

Aman has a wealth of experience, having been club captain at National League Torquay United last season.

He spent three seasons with Leicester City between 2009 and 2011, before representing several other midlands sides including Kettering Town, Corby Town, and Kidderminster Harriers.

Despite the offer of a contract extension on the south coast, Aman wished to return to Leicestershire for family reasons.

He had no shortage of offers, but has decided to join us until the end of the 2018/19 season.

The Team Builder project has played a big role in this signing, and we thank each and every person who made a contribution during the 2016/17 season.
