Defender Paul Lorraine has joined Dartford after recently leaving league rivals Whitehawk.

The vastly experienced Lorraine, 32, first came to the fore with Welling United, during which time he had a loan spell with the Darts in 2002/03.

Spells with Erith & Belvedere, Braintree Town, Fisher Athletic, Woking and AFC Wimbledon followed before he signed for Ebbsfleet United in 2010.

He spent almost four years with Fleet, making over 150 appearances before leaving due to the club going full-time whereupon he joined Whitehawk.

The decision to leave the Hawks was a mutual one between the player and the club and it allowed Lorraine to fully regain his fitness for next season following fourteen months out with a serious knee injury which he sustained in 2014.

He returned in November 2015, but due to his injury, he was only able to make fourteen appearances for the Hawks.
