Eastbourne Borough manager Tommy Widdrington has announced the capture of goalkeeper Charlie Horlock.
21-year-old Charlie arrives after a season at Hitchin Town, and was previously at Wycombe Wanderers.
“I am delighted,” said Widdrington
“Both with the signing of Charlie, who is a talented keeper and an excellent prospect, but also that we are able – for the first time in my managership here – to have two senior goalkeepers in the squad.
We already have, in Lewis Carey, one of the best keepers in the division, but goalkeeping is a position where competition can only be healthy.”
Widdrington also expects to be highly busy in the coming days as he now works to finalise his squad for the new season. The manager has already spent much of the close season in discussions with possible signings, while sticking to his belief that making the right signings is more important than making the quick signings.
