Dayshonne Golding has signed for Lewes on a permanent basis, after last season’s successful loan spell.
Golding, 21, joined the club in late-2018 on loan from Sussex neighbours Hastings United. He made 22 appearances for the Rooks, scoring three times in the process.
The pacey winger can play on either flank and gives Darren Freeman yet more options in his forward line.
“We saw glimpses of what Dayshonne can do last season,” said Freeman. “When he’s on his game, he can be unplayable, because he’s quick, direct and drives for goal.”
“Now we’ll have a full pre-season to work with Dayshonne and build him into our style of play. He’s still a very young lad and we’re looking forward to helping him develop.”
He is just the latest in a string of summer signings, which have seen the arrivals of Golding’s former Hastings teammate Jordy Mongoy, as well as Dean Bown, Billy Collings, Zach Fagan and Bradley Wilson.
