Mike Amos – the former chairman of the Northern League – has been awarded the title of Senior Vice President.

Mike stood down at the end of last season after 20 years as chairman and 30 years’ involvement in the league.

Chairman Glenn Youngman said:

“Mike served the league and North East football with distinction.

“The title of Senior Vice President is a fitting tribute to his unstinting work and recognition for his achievements, including raising £1m in sponsorship for the league during his time as chairman, as well as his fund-raising efforts for local charities.”

Mike added:
“I’m delighted and honoured to accept the offer to be the league’s senior vice president.”
