Former skipper Mark Kirby, having left Hendon recently, has been registered by Enfield Town and cleared to join the squad in time for tonight’s game against Kingstonian.

Manager Brad Quinton said “I’m pleased Mark decided he wanted to come back – I think he has a point to prove, and he is looking to secure a deal at the club for next season. In the meantime, he’s a great asset to have available to call upon, and I think he probably regrets leaving in the first place. He’s a winner, that’s for sure and I’d like to welcome him back”.

Mark originally signed for Town in October 2009 from Hendon, having previously played for Hillingdon Borough, Barnet and Radlett-based Belstone FC. He was the 2013-14 Supporters’ Player of the Season and appeared in central defence for the majority of his 259 appearances, with a few outings in midfield and up front, scoring 28 goals.
